🚚 $25 Courier Surcharge Now Applies to Shipments In or Out of Seattle

Due to a recent change in Seattle labor laws, our courier service has implemented a $25 surcharge on all deliveries entering or leaving the city. This fee applies to both inbound and outbound shipments, including those handled by Pacific Publishing Company, which is headquartered in Seattle.

💼 Why the Change?

Seattle’s new city ordinance requires delivery platforms to provide paid sick time to drivers operating within the city. To cover the added cost, courier services are applying a flat $25 fee to any delivery that involves Seattle—whether that’s a pickup, drop-off, or both.

📦 How It Affects You

If you have printed materials—such as newspapers, inserts, or marketing pieces—delivered to or from Pacific Publishing Company, this new surcharge will appear in the delivery cost on your invoice:

• $25 per delivery entering or leaving Seattle 
  

This applies regardless of where you are located, as long as Seattle is part of the delivery route.
